Safe at Home
The Safe at Home Program provides minor home modifications for those of ANY INCOME LEVEL to improve accessibility and safety within the home. The service is available free to low-moderate income and for a fee to those above that range.
Rebuilding Together Sacramento believes that a home should be a place of refuge and comfort. A home without proper carbon monoxide or smoke detectors or reliable handrails and steps is a health hazard and can decrease accessibility and overall quality of life for its occupants.
Trained Installers can improve a home’s safety by modifying or installing items such as handrails, grab bars, steps, wheelchair ramps, transfer poles, shower and tub mats and stools, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Those above low-moderate income, call 916-455-1880 x 3 for an estimate.
You can fax your completed application to 916-731-7077 or mail it to P.O. Box 255584, Sacramento, CA 95825.
If you have any questions, please call 916-455-1880 x 0.
Average wait time is 3-4 weeks.
