Safe and healthy housing
Principles of Healthy Homes
Rebuilding Together Sacramento seeks to advance equity by improving health and housing outcomes for our vulnerable neighbors in economically distressed communities. Through a collaboration with the National Center for Healthy Housing, an assessment based on the Eight Principles of Healthy Homes is used as a guideline for assessing homes and determining those areas of concern that can be addressed to improve its health, safety, and efficiency.
Although we can't address all the issues in a home we work with other home improvement organizations to coordinate and leverage services for our clients.
Community Revitalization Partnerships
By targeting our service delivery in specific neighborhoods and aligning our work more closely with community partners, we improve the health and safety conditions of entire neighborhoods, not only individual homes. This work includes not only homes but community spaces and improvements to facilities that serve vulnerable populations.
